OVERVIEW
What are CPD courses for psychologists & therapists
Continuing professional development is post-qualification learning and development activities that can be formal delivered training, reading, research, reflection and other structured learning activities. It is essential for practitioner psychologists, therapists and counsellors to have numerous CPD hours, with regulatory bodies including the HCPC, BABCP, BACP and UKCP requiring and monitoring registrants’ CPD each year. Besides registration, CPD ensures that therapists maintain current, evidence-based knowledge and skills to deliver the best service to their clients.
CPD for therapists might be brief, bite-sized learning activities, such as shorter webinars, skillsfocused workshops or educational sessions. They may also be more substantial, spanning a day or multiple days, such as learning a whole new therapeutic modality, approach or technique, or training in an assessment tool. Our suite of CPD for psychologists and therapists offers a range of effective learning experiences to ensure you are both compliant with your CPD requirements and engaging in deep, practical learning and development.
