What Our Clients Say

OVERVIEW
What is CBT Supervision?
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is the front-line psychological therapy for most mental health problems. The British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) accredits and regulates CBT practitioners in the United Kingdom. As part of their training, accreditation and regulation standards, CBT therpaists should have regular CBT-specific supervision for their practice. This ensures they have regular professional oversight of their practice, ongoing learning and development support, and remain accountable for their CBT practice.
Our CBT supervision uses CBT model-specific supervisory practices in line with the best available research evidence. It applies CBT principles to supervisory practice, including clear agendas, goals, a focus on cognition, emotion and behaviour, and an experiential-orientation. This enables CBT therapists to engage in live role modelling, practice and CBT skill development within supervision. It meets BABCP CBT supervision requirements and, overall, aims to ensure highly effective, compassion CBT practice.
