What Our Clients Say

OVERVIEW OF PSYCHOLOGY SUPERVISION
What is Clinical Psychology Supervision?
Psychology supervision is a key part of clinical practice and required by most regulatory and accrediting bodies, including the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and similar. It involves meeting with an experienced practitioner psychologist who has expertise in your field of practice at an agreed frequency. It is a central part of practice in psychology, ensuring that you are learning, developing and practicing safely and effectively as a psychologist or therapist.
Typical models of supervision suggest it has multiple functions: it is normative (i.e. making sure your practice is typical and effective); formative (i.e. developmentally-focused, learning-orientated and supportive of personal and professional development); and restorative (i.e. focused on practitioner well-being, use of self and support needs). Our supervision takes a personalised, developmental approach, incorporating evidence-based therapy model-specific techniques as relevant and appropriate.
